Dear Sisters and Brothers, I very much look forward to serving and building up the people of God with you during the privilege of serving as the administrator at St. Francis of Assisi as Fr. Jack is, pray God, renewed and refreshed by a retreat and a sabbatical. I am always inspired and strengthened in ministry by the communities with whom I have been blessed to worship and with whom I have tried to do the Lord’s work, serving those in need and reaching out to those on the margins. A very little bit about myself, by way of introduction: I have lived in the city for the last twenty-five years, where my wife, Avendui, and I have raised our two sons, now nominally adults in their mid-twenties. I am currently in diaconal ministry at St. Ignatius downtown. I also work as a chaplain with the pastoral care department at Mercy Medical Center. I served as the temporary administer at the parish of Corpus Christi for a year, so I am not unfamiliar with my current role. It will be a pleasure to meet as many of you as possible in the coming weeks.
